Photo Ramble in Salford Quays

It’s hard to believe that just a week ago we were basking in warm (even hot) sunshine – perfect for our September charity photo-ramble. The venue was Salford Quays and Media City, a photographer’s paradise. Water, modern architecture, abstracts, people…inevitably we didn’t actually wander too far as there were so many photo-opportunities. The strong autumn sunshine created contrasty shadows and backlighting for depth and interest, presenting graphic shapes everywhere we looked.  The sunshine also tempted us into the numerous bars and coffee shops in the Quays…but that’s another story.
